I have to agree. I live in upstate NY and I always have service at home or at work, while my roommates or coworkers are always complaining about the dropped calls or no service at all.

The biggest problem with Sprint is phones. There are too many cool phones on AT&T and Verizon, Sprint has only a handful and those are not very good at that. In today's smartphone market you need to offer a lot of choices to customers - from basic smartphones to BlackBerrys.

AT&T is far better than Sprint & Verizon At Reasonable Prices, Coverage & Phones
Sprint is the worst at every single thing. Verizon Has The Best Customer Service
So If You Live In Utah at&t is the way to go

Sprint has the best service out there with their Internet. I use the Sierra USB as well and I have never had a problem with any drops and the bars have always been strong, even where my cell phone's bars have been low. I have Verizon right now and they are starting to become 2nd rate where we are. Most of my friends who had Verizon dropped their services with Verizon like hot cakes and went to AT&T or T-Mobile...a few to Sprint. AT&T is starting to improve their voice call reception here...but I won't try their data service. T-Mobile is not that good...very spotty in many area and no reception. Verizon's reception has started to decline, I experienced many dropped or missed calls while the phone was on me, and the other remaining of us who have Verizon within my friend circle hate Verizon and want out as soon as our contracts are up. I'd much rather get AT&T because at least they haven't blocked websites from sending us free ringtones as Verizon has.

Oh and Gordon, Sprint is no longer offering their unlimited data usage. Bummer....they stopped doing that early last year and now offer the standard 5GB a month that all other carriers offer for their data services. But I'd still use Sprint even though they have a 5 GB cap.

are u kidding me?? AT&T is by far better than Sprint. Sprint's 3G betwork isnt nearly as fast as AT&T's. Also, AT&T's network coverage is also twice as big as Sprint's.

Sprint in northern California is fine for urban areas
but
AT&T has coverage in rural areas; Sprint does not.

Rick,

Absolutely agree. And I not a Sprint fanboy. But I do wish Sprint would get credit where it deserves - by building the best nationwide data network in the United States.

I sure wish I had read your reviews before trying AT&T. In my opinion, this product should be taken off the market. With AT&T, I went through 2 USB modems and a SmartCard on my new Vista 64 machine and still could get no more than 3,2,1 bars in a metro area and it crashed my older XP machine 3 times trying to install . I had been with Sprint using PCMCIA Merlin card for 2 1/2 years with flawless service. I thought I'd switch to AT&T for various reasons. What a mistake. I canceled the service. I finally got back up on the Sprint service using the Sierra USB modem on both computers. What a dream. Flawless installation and glorious 5,4 bars all the time. I use this for business primarily and experienced dropped service several times with AT&T while conducting business. Not good. Thank you Sprint.
